CLINICS
Attendance is by appointment. Please
make sure you are able to attend and cancel if not.
Antenatal
Clinic
This is a midwife-run clinic and
is suitable for mums-to-be with no particular problems in their pregnancy.
Asthma
Clinic
One of our practice nurses runs this
clinic. It allows us to care for patients with asthma and avoid problems before
they arise. She has the help of the doctors if needed.
Child Health
Surveillance Clinic
The health visitors and a doctor
run this clinic to detect any health problems that your child may have as early
as possible.
Heart Save
Clinic
We participate in a Stockport programme
to identify people who are at particular risk of heart disease so that we can
try to help those people reduce their risk of a heart attack or stroke.
Diabetic
Clinic
A nurse and a doctor run this clinic.
Many of our diabetic patients can be cared for by the practice rather than at
hospital outpatient clinics. We can offer more thorough care for diabetic patients
at this clinic rather than just seeing these patients in our ordinary surgeries.
Family Planning
All of our doctors would be happy
to discuss your family planning needs. This includes fitting of coils.
Travel Clinic
One of our nurses runs a travel clinic
and can discuss your vaccination needs for holidays or your job.
Childhood
Immunisationsic
These can be done at the surgery.
Minor Surgery
And Cryotherapy
Our doctors can treat a variety of
conditions, which would otherwise be dealt with at the hospital.
Medical
Examinations
Medical examinations for special
purposes, such as fitness to travel, pre-employment, insurance, driving medicals
etc are undertaken outside normal surgery hours. A fee will be payable. Please
contact the surgery to make an appointment. Fees are clearly displayed in the
reception area.
Patients
Over 75 Years
If you are aged 75 years or over,
you should be seen annually either by your doctor, the practice nurse, district
nurse or health visitor. This can be arranged at the surgery or, if that is not
possible, a home visit will be arranged.
Influenza
And Pneumonia Vaccine
In accordance with Department of
Health guidelines, we recommend an influenza plus pneumonia vaccination for patients
with diabetes, chronic heart, lung or kidney disease and residents of nursing
and rest homes. The vaccination is available in October; please contact the practice
nurse for further details.
