How
do I... Obtain Telephone Advice?
Urgent telephone consultations are available on the day with the on call doctor.
You can pre-book telephone consultations with the doctor of your choice.
Reception staff are available to speak to patients face to face or on the telephone
Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 6.30pm, except Tuesday to Friday lunchtimes when
we are closed between 12.30 and 2.00pm (but patients can still ring during the
lunch hour).
How
do I... Make An Appointment?
All consultations are by appointment, which can be made by telephoning or by calling
at the surgery. If you are unable to attend your appointment please contact
the surgery to cancel. This allows somebody else to use that appointment.
How
do I... Obtain A Home Visit?
Patients are requested to telephone the surgery before 10.30am. Emergency visits
only will be arranged after that time. The receptionist will need to know the
nature of the ailment/illness so that the doctor can plan according to priority.
Please remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time that
it takes to do a home visit.
How
do I... Obtain Test Results?
These may be obtained by ringing 0161 426 9500 between 12.30 - 15.00. The
receptionist may then inform you of the result, or she may ask you to arrange
an appointment with your doctor to discuss the result. It is practice policy only
to give results of medical tests to patients over 16 and to the parents of those
below this age.
